Abstract landscape....not really
This is the pollen on the roof of my car. No wonder I've been sneezing.

Bianka's rule #153 When there is activity in the kitchen be sure to observe the activity while standing on three legs. Standing with one paw in the air is cute and you just might get a treat.

Okay I got behind oh well. I'm going to keep going. Who cares

When I was trying to come up with something to eat the other night, I found one of these massive sweet potatoes in my pantry. I'm not sure what dad has done to grow them so big but they are HUGE. And just one of these (or part of one) is enough to make up a batch of yummy Sweet Potato Quesadillas.

This past weekend I spent the afternoon with my grandmother going through and identifying people a giant box of family photos. I by default have become the family archivist. (That's okay with me.) I had to chuckle when we were leaving and my grandma said, I must have been bored going through all of the photos. I guess she forgot what I do for a living. I basically get paid go to look at other people's photos and letters, and I love it.
For me, these are priceless.
45/365 - catch up
I fell off the wagon with my posting over the weekend, so I'm playing catch up now. Friday night I headed to Ohio to visit my family and on the way I stopped at Joseph-Beth Bookstore to meet with a couple who's wedding I'm photographing in May. Joseph-Beth is my happy place. I go to the one in Lexington whenever I need a little pick me up or just some time to myself. The have a great little cafe that serves some of the tastiest treats. My clients and I decided to order the mini desert sampler.

Don't those all just look yummy?

43/365 Feeling the Blues
One of my friends on Facebook has been posting a series of photos revolving around a cobalt blue bottle. I have a particular affinity for blue glass. An entire window in my kitchen is lined with blue bottles of various shapes and sizes. When the sun sets the light bounces off my neighbors house and lights them from behind. They seem to come alive with color. That simple act makes me so happy. :-)

40/365 -- late
I spent most of last evening working on my taxes. Its not hard work but it is a bit on the tedious side. By the time I turned off the computer last night I didn't really care that I'd forgotten to post.

No I don't think I will charge for my advice because I wouldn't know hot to categorize the income. :)

33/365 Happy Groundhog Day
So what happens if the daffodils see their shadows in the snow? Six more weeks of alternating days of spring and winter?

Hi fans of Mom's blog. Tonight was a special night because mom, let me cuddle in her lap as she worked on today's post. We were having so much fun she wanted to take a picture. That's me in the bottom right.
I know it's kind hard to see me there. Mom tried to use a cookie to get my attention. Oh boy did that work!
By the way this is the face Mom makes when I've had enough fooling around and snatch the treat out of her hand. (PS It was yummy. )

The cold weather has settled in, and while most people grumble and complain about the cold, the wind, and the snow and ice, the cold has it plus side. Every year I look forward a little bit to the opportunity to get to wear one of my favorite items of clothing...this coat.

I picked it up years ago, on one of the hottest days of the year. It seemed rather silly to be buying a winter coat in the middle of August, but I fell in love with all the embroidery and the details. I had to have it. So now when it's cold and snowy out.I simply smile and say "Yay, I get to wear my pretty coat!"
