Infidelity in 1788

How to call your wife a slut in the 18th century:

"Whereas my wife Katharine Gwinn having proved false to my bed, and frequently confessed the fame to me and named her associates which were many, I therefore advertized her in the Virginia Gazette, and at several public places in our own county. Therefore, lest the Inhabitants of this district may not have knowledge of said publication, I hereby all persons from trusting her on my account, as I will not pay any debt she contracts. I learn she is coming to this district. Jan 14, 1788 MATTHEW GWINN." The Kentucky Gazette January 26th, 1788
