soul searching and purging

Wow. It's only the 4th of January and already 2010 is off and running. There are so many things I'm excited about that I don't know how to logically string them all together (so hang in there with me folks.)

I, like several of my Facebook peeps, am declaring this 2010 as the year of Me. Well, what does that mean exactly? Basically, I'm starting this year by taking the time to really focus on myself for a change, not the job or the house or the dog, unless she injures herself again. I'm making this the year that I step back take a long hard look at myself and my life. The good the bad and the ugly. Try to figure out how I go to this point and figure out what direction I want to head next. I know that sounds all heavy and somewhat cryptic. It's really not.

This declaration has been a long time coming I've been tap dancing around all the issue associated with it for months, but now I want to be a bit more proactive about it. I'm starting off by taking a workshop that I'm so excited about. The name of the e-course is Unraveling. If you check out the link I don't need to explain to you why I'm drawn to it. We're just starting week one, and to be fair to Sussannah Conway I don't want to tell to much about it just yet, but I'm really excited about it.

I don't know how this is going to pan out. You may see more postings from me, or you may see less. Either way I hope to come out on the other side a better me.

PS Check out Sussanah's Blog, Ink on my Fingers. It's fantastic.

Hello, new to the blogging scene. What made you want to do this course?

This course specifically? I started reading Susannah's blog, and felt a strong connection. If she didn't live in England I think I'd be trying to figure out how meet up with her for coffee sometime. Anyway, this course incorporates photography and writing. I want to get back to doing more personal photography and I need to work on my writing. Unravelling seemed like the logical place to start.
